Getting started as a guest user at Lab42 Canon NL July 16, 2026 09:43 Updated Step 1: Ensure that you have sufficient print creditTo print and copy, you need print credit. To get it, use a print voucher, which you can redeem for print credit in your account. The Community Officer, who has a UvA / AUAS ID, will purchase the print vouchers for you.Scanning is free. Step 1: Create a guest account Go to the print portal: print.uva.nl. Click [Log in as a guest user]. Click [Create guest account]. Enter your information and password, then click [Create guest account]. You will receive a confirmation email with a link. Click this link to activate your account. You are now registered as a guest user. Step 2: Log in and redeem your print voucher for print credit Go to the print portal: print.uva.nl. Click [Log in as a guest user], enter your information, and click [Log in]. You’ll receive a verification code via email. Enter the code to confirm your identity (two-step verification) and click [Log in]. Go to the [CREDIT] tab and enter the code from the print voucher. Step 3: Send a print jobGo to the [PRINT] tab, upload one or more files, and send them to the printer. Step 4: Log in to a Canon printerAs a guest user, you can log in with a temporary PIN (valid 1 day) or with the Campus Print app on your phone. Read how to login Important! The default language of the printers is English. To change this to Dutch, click at the bottom of the login screen. Always change the language before logging in to the printer. If you do this while printing the job, the printer will freeze.Always log out when you're done. The printer doesn't automatically log out until 2 minutes have passed. During that time, other users can see your print jobs and print them. Step 5: Print out your print job After logging in, you see the Home screen. Tap [Secure Print]. You will see the print queue. Tap the file(s) you want to print. Tap [Refresh] if your job is not yet visible. You can change the print settings per file through [Options]. Tap [Print + Delete]. To log out, tap [Log Out].
