Ways to log in at a Canon printer

Important! 
The default language of the printers is English. To change the language, tap at the bottom of the login screen. Always change the language before logging in to the printer. If you do this while printing the job, the printer may freeze.

Always log out when you're done. The printer doesn't automatically log out until 2 minutes have passed. During that time, other users can see your print jobs and print them.



 

1. Log in with your UvA card

• To log in with your UvA card, it must be activated. (Activate your card)
  You can use your card on any Canon printer at any UvA location. The login procedure is the same everywhere.
• Place your card on the card reader and wait until you hear a beep.
  
  

2. Log in with the Campus Print app

To log in with the Campus Print app, the app needs permission to use your device's camera. If the app does not already have that permission, the app will ask for it.

• Open the Campus Print app.
• Choose UvA as the location.
• The first time you use the app, log in with your UvAnetID or guest account.
• Tap [Log in to the printer]. 
• Use the app to scan the QR code on the control panel of the printer.

3. Log in with (temporary) PIN

• First, request a PIN code via the print portal. (Request a PIN code)
  The code will appear immediately in the portal and will also be sent to you by email. 
• Go to the printer. Tap [PIN code] on the user panel.
  
  
   

• Enter your PIN, then tap [Login].
